DR Congo suffered a complete annihilation when they were crashed 6-3 by African champs Egypt in Wednesday's friendly match played in Cairo.
Ahmed Ali broke the deadlock after just three minutes but Diba Ilunga leveled for the Leopards 14 minutes later.
Ahmed Ali restored the Pharaohs lead on 34 minutes, before Ahmed Fathy and Mohamed Aboutreika each scored to give the hosts a 4-1 at halftime.
Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan scored his side’s fifth four minutes into the second half before Zola Matumona reduced the deficit on 54 minutes.
Striker Mohamed Nagy Geddo completed the goal-fest on 67 minutes whilst Matumona completed his brace for Congo a minute later from the spot.
