Vitesse  coach Ted van Leeuwen hailed the qualities of the Ghanaian by saying:“In Kingston we have a player who is very experienced at the high level of world football.

“He is a utility player meaning he can be played in many positions. He can play in midfield, striker or or just behind the striker. "

Kingston on the other hand believes he will be a great addition in a side that is battling to escape the drop in the Eredivisie but admitted he has to improve his fitness as a result of 3-months of lack of competitive action.

“I have not played competitively for three months and it’s nice that I can train again. The training was tough and that is what like,” he said to club's website.
