Sevilla's Spanish international winger Jesus Navas will not be able to resume training for around 10 days due to an ankle injury, the Andalucian club announced on Wednesday.
Navas injured himself during a recent match and has since been troubled by a fragment of bone in his left ankle.
"After his treatment... it is expected that the player will resume training in around 10 days," said Sevilla in a statement.
Sevilla are currently seventh in La Liga after an indifferent start to the season that saw coach Antonio Alvarez lose his job and Gregorio Manzano brought in as a replacement.
Navas, a member of Spain's World Cup-winning squad, is likely to miss Sevilla's next four games, including Thursday's trip to Karpaty Lviv in the Europa League and the league game at Barcelona on October 31. |
