| Former Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari is reported to have putting in an application to become coach of the Black Stars.
The 61 year old guided Brazil to their fifth World Cup crown in 2002 and also presided over a fairly successful five-year stint as Portugal coach and is said to have applied for the job through his agent, Alessandro Anhanha da Silva.
He now joins a long list of applicants which includes the likes of Marcel Desailly, Juande Ramos, Humberto Cuelho and Gianfranco Zola to have expressed their desire to coach the 2010 Nations Cup silver medalists.
Scolari, who is currently in charge of Palmeiras failed miserably with his first club in Europe where after a cruising opening start to the 2008/2009 EPL season with Chelsea, things started falling terribly apart resulting in his sacking in February 2009.
He has since coached in Uzbekistan before returning to his native Brazil all with club sides and is now set to make a return to the international fold and with Ghana as his preferred destination.
However some of the indigenous Ghanaian coaches have made a strong claim to the Black Stars job, with many thinking its about time the senior national team is coached by a Ghanaian.
