Bundesliga title pretenders Schalke 04 made two excellent signings on the final day of the transfer period by bringing in striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and midfielder Manuel Jurado from AC Milan and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Huntelaar, 27, who was part of the Netherlands team that made it all the way to finals of the 2010 World Cup had endured a torrid one and a half years with the Rosseneri since arriving from Real Madrid in 2008 - and has now been given a career lifeline by the Royal Blues with a three-year deal.
On the other hand, Jose Manuel Jurado, 24, who has been signed on a four year deal was part of the Atletico Madrid side which emerged winners of the innaugral Uefa Europa league and also made a substitute appearances in the club's Super Cup win over Inter Milan.
Both players are expected to power the club to league victory and also help the German side travel very far in the Champions League.
