Checks by GFM Sports at the Ghana Football Association reveals that the Black Stars outstanding World Cup bonuses remain unpaid.
This is in direct conflict of what the Deputy minister of Sports Nii Nortey-Dua promised when he met the team at their training grounds in Accra before their 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifieragainst Sudan.
"We have paid the wining bonuses for their last match against Swaziland and i can assure you the remaining outstanding monies would be paid by next week Friday," the honourable minister said a fortnight ago. That fateful Friday elapsed last week without payment to that effect.
"The monies as far as i am concerned have not been paid," GFA Spokesman Randy Abbey exclusively told GFM Sports.
"The usual routine with relation to payment of bonuses is that, when the money is ready the ministry calls us and the monies are paid into the players accounts.
"We have thus received no call from the ministry with regards to the outstanding bonuses," he added.
